Dear Community Leaders and Friends:

I appreciate your interest in Irene Rimer DANCE ESSENTIALS. I would like to personally thank you for your belief in the dream that I and the members of the troupes, Corazon Flamenco & the Belly Dance Jewels, hold for the future. It is people like you who understand the cultural climate of this community, and who also are aware that the support of unique professional dance troupes such as ours is essential to a thriving social, cultural, and economic environment.

Cities throughout the world have been involved in the development of diverse professional dance companies. Often what defines these cities is the formation of a variety of art companies that aim to educate audiences, citizens, and offer high quality unique entertainment which stands as a beacon of art and serves as a symbol of a thriving community.

Dance Essentials is committed to serve our marvelous community through its unique programs. This is about the quality of life in the place where we live. This is about our children and their development. This is about providing exciting and enriching experiences that will never be forgotten. This is about Flamenco dancing, not “Flamingo,” and about the teaching of dance forms with integrity such as Egyptian Belly Dancing, an ancient dance form often misrepresented by non-professionals and the lack of knowledge, and education; this is about eliminating ignorance and elevating our society to new heights.

By providing high quality performances, Dance Essentials moves closer to our goals.  These performance events involve everyone in the community. That is why I am excited to share with you some of the highlights of our 2008 “Gypsy Night” Performance at WorkPlay on Saturday, August 16th.

Gypsy Night

Part I: From 6 to 8PM, Irene Rimer & Corazon Flamenco will present “Blood Wedding”

Based on a true story of love, lust, and betrayal, Blood Wedding is one of the most powerful and innovative plays written this century. Federico Garcia Lorca wrote his best known play years after reading a newspaper account of a young bride in Andalusia who abandoned her husband-to-be on their wedding day to escape with her childhood sweetheart. Lorca evokes the spectacle of human passion through sophisticated and often surrealistic poetic technique, elevating the love story to a tragedy of fate.  Irene Rimer (The Bride) & Corazon Flamenco will “tell” the story through dance! With guest guitarist Manolo Vargas from Seville, Spain

 

Part II:  From 8:30 to 10:00PM, Irene Rimer & the Belly Dance Jewels will present “Source of Fire”

This is a story of sisterhood and love. An ancient Pharaoh chooses a new wife among many maidens causing grief in his household.  When the Pharaoh dies in a desert battle, his household must cope with the loss and learn to live in peace and most importantly regain happiness.

In order to satisfy all the roles demands and preparation, DANCE ESSENTIALS will incur extraordinary expenses.  Your sponsorship is needed and would be truly appreciated.

We invite you to make an investment in the Dance Essentials’ Gypsy night performance by donating in any (or in between) of the following categories:

Sponsorship Program:

 

        Platinum:    $1,000 cash or more

Platinum sponsors will be offered one-page advertising at the event’s program and, 8 complimentary tickets to the event ($30 each,)

 

        Gold:          $700 cash or more

Gold sponsors will be offered ½ page advertising at the event’s program and 6 complimentary tickets to the event ($30 each)

 

        Silver:       $500 cash or more

Silver sponsors will be offered ¼ page advertising at the event’s program, and 4 complimentary tickets to the event ($30 each.)

 

        Bronze:     $100 cash or more 

Bronze sponsor will be listed at the event’s program and receive 2 complimentary tickets to the event

 

        Gift:          Your Company will be listed in the program’s event with the donation of a valuable gift.
